16thc carved oak panels

A wonderful pair of carved oak panels, originaly doors from a cabinet or similar, the carving is deep and very strong & very well executed by a master carver, depicting a sea and land monster possibly from folklore or legends ( any info greatly received) they have great patination, colour & age. Carved in the late 16thc or very early 17thc.
