Obverse: In the center of the obverse is depicted the head of a girl in a national costume, headdress, with a braided braid, facing right. Around it is engraved the inscription: LATVIAN REPUBLIC. Reverse: In the centre of the reverse is a relief of the coat of arms of Latvia, the field of the shield of the coat of arms is divided horizontally, and the lower part vertically. In the upper part is a rising golden sun with triangular rays, the bases of which are directed away from the centre of the sun. Heraldically, on the lower right side is a lion, heraldically facing left (Kurzeme and Zemgale); heraldically, on the lower right side is a griffin heraldically facing right with a sword in its right paw (Vidzeme and Latgale).
