1906 walnut bed +pot cupboard

A large single walnut bed with dentilled cornicing on the head and foot boards. With chequered strung quarter veneered fielded panels, moulded cockbeads and ogee bracket feet. New Sealy mattress to fit included in the price, worth 300gbp.

Accompanied by an attractive pot cupboard on cabriole legs 77cm high.
This was part of a suite of bedroom furniture made by Morison+Co for M. RL Angus in 1906 for the Ladykirk House estate.
The antique bed remained in the house until sold by Philips Auction in 1997. Its not been moved since and little used, so in extremely good condition. Bought originally for 952gbp without the mattress. Purchase documentation (invoice and house sale brochure) from Philips Auction House available.
