A Welsh dresser always brings back fond memories for me. Both my mother and grandmother had one and they were the centre of family life.
We talked around them, leaned on them; placed things on them and the drawers were full of various pieces of paperwork, pictures, pens and other sundry items. The top shelving was always for showing off the best china. This was really the part about Welsh dressers that people loved most of all; you were able to show off your very best dinner service, regardless of how poor you were.

Ladies cabinet Bonheur du jour in Napoleon III style.A charming, sophisticated and organizing detail in a woman’s interior that can determine the atmosphere of the house and the owner’s behavior pattern. Thanks to the increased volumes and proportions of the superstructure, it delights, captures, embraces, and shapes the space around it. A measure of rigor and charm is poured throughout. In the elaborate severity of the legs, the solemnity of the columns, the softness of the currencies and the family charm of the medallions. They so nicely directly address the office to the female half. Where is the lock escutcheon and the musical decor of the tabletop, singing about love, about Cupids arrows and the flames of feelings. Richly decorated with marquetry and porcelain medallions in the Manufacture de Sevres style depicting members of the royal family and elements of decorative bronze trim. Particularly admirable are the bronze details in the grooves of the connelure of the table legs. Key included. Width: 84cm, Height: 133.5cm, Depth: 55cm, Weight: 30kg, Condition: Exc., Usual restorations, Material: Polychrome painting, ID: 2820
