19th century oil (1859) by j.t. stanton. a village holiday

A charming mid 19th century oil on board by J.F. Stanton signed and dated 1859 bottom lefthand corner, inscribed verso.

The dimensions provided are for the frame. The actual size visible within the frame is; W:32.5cm x H:24.5cm.Condition commensurate with age with various superficial marks & minor craquelure. The painting is housed in it's original solid ornate wooden frame which has some expected minor scuffs and marks and appears to have been repainted some years ago.
The painting is in very good condition, has had a very light clean and is ready to hang.
