Circa 1870. A large dark stained oak carved Flemish hallstand. The moulded cornice with foliate carving on the top and facing, rectangular bevel edge mirror contained in an oak frame with several turned pegs and seven panels, some with the greenman and others with gentlemen. The small shelf beneath the mirror and a large flat surface with a full sized carved drawer in the frieze, two sections with turned uprights for containing walking sticks with removable drip trays beneath. All supported in the front by turned and tapering uprights, flat carved sections at the back with a section beneath the drawer braced by two carved uprights, all resting on a platform base with a foliate carved fore-edge, on an enclosed plinth.
