A Magnificent Chinese Ceremonial Poles/Halberds Stand, China circa 1850.
A complete set of eight Chinese ceremonial poles/halberds, still standing on their original beautiful carved hardwood stand.
The poles/halberds are Still standing on their original beautiful carved hard wood stand, finely carved with dragons standing on dogs of Foo.
The two dragons are connected with bended hardwood simulated bamboo, beautiful carved whole over.
Overall in fantastic condition, no missing pieces or other damages and still with the original old patination, also the bronze ornaments on top.
The poles/halberds have their original finely carved hard wood handles and on top of that the heavy cast solid bronze mounts.
With as we believe the eight symbols of the Daoist Emblems.
Important is that the Chinese always have eight symbols and you can find them back in this rack.
The bronze and the hardwood stand still have the old beautiful original.
Interesting to see is that one of the symbolic bronze ornaments has a small longevity symbol.(see detail photo)
