DescriptionA SUPERB QUALITY PAIR OF 19thc SOLID BRASS CANDLESTICKS WITH RISE & FALL CANDLES This marvellous matching pair of 19th Century English solid brass candlesticks are of the finest quality and retain their original rise & fall rods which enable the last remnants of a candle to be risen upwards which prevents any old candle wax remaining or the scratching of the pieces which normally occurs when taking out the last piece of candle with lesser quality pieces.Dating to Circa 1870-1880 and made of the finest solid brass.Each heavy & sturdy piece has a multi ringed superstructure with a wide diamond shaped central column which leads down to a sturdy stepped base.Offered in overall first class original condition with a beautiful rich aged brass patination.
