    A characterful, signed, Victorian oil painting of a cottage by a river. It measures 17ins (43cms) x 9ins (23cms) to the outside of the frame and is a view of a thatched cottage in a rural setting next to a river. It measures 17ins (43cms) x 9ins (23cms) to the outside of the frame and is a view of a thatched cottage in a rural setting next to a river.
    It is well executed, in oil on board, and the artist has captured the feeling of the scene very nicely. It is signed at bottom left with V. King, and is unframed.

     
    It is in not bad condition, but has suffered a little over the years. The board is somewhat curved,( easily curable!) and there is flaking and some minor scratching to several areas of the work. That said it doesn't detract from its great appeal and would look wonderful on any wall with the right frame!
