    A charming and rare Staffordshire pottery jug with relief flowers and blooms, dating from about 1830. It measures 6ins (15cms) tall and has underglaze ble swirls to the base, rim handle and frnt with nicely enamelled flowers and foliage to each side.

     
    The spout is quite broad and fronted with a face and there are subtle swags to the handle. It is a charming jug, and not an easy one to find nowadays. Unfortunately it has suffered a little over the years and has a couple of chips to one side of the spout,a small cack at hte back nead thje handle and acouple of more obscured chips by the footrim.
     
    despite these flaws it is still a highly collectible and desirable piece of Staffordshire that wpouold grace any collection.
