In the first half of the 18th century, the Meissen factory occupied a place of undisputed leader, which was partly due to the fact that it had no serious competitors. The chance of other German factories lay in the fact that during the Seven Years War, Frederick the Great acted unintentionally on the trade policy of his country, paralyzing the industry development of Meissen.Since 1718, a porcelain factory existed in Vienna but there despite the beauty of it first set, it was not worried Meissen. Compared to the great variety of types of Meissen services, those of imperial Vienna seemed quite modest. The Vienna factory was founded by a bourgeois, which probably marked the artistic production. Innozenz Claudius Du Paquier was born in Trèves, but he was from Holland. Before took an interest in porcelain, he was a war agent at the imperial court. His artistic career began when he poached workers from Meissen to create a factory in Vienna. Logically, some workers left Vienna for Meissen and elsewhere in Europe. The main contribution of the factory in Vienna under Du Paquier was clearly to impart their knowledge on the secrets of porcelain, which was not usual. One of the most important works of early Viennese porcelain decoration was certainly created for the hall of Dubsky palace in Brünn. In this decoration, the manufacture of Vienna was a pioneer, large floral decorations of the hall of the palace Dubsky are among the first of their kind, these "German" flowers, as they appeared in Vienna from 1720-1725, are not found in Meissen porcelain until 1740. The manufacture of Vienna remained for twenty six years a private company, but the weight of its debts was then increased so that the court took the company and continued its exploitation.
