an edwardian settee with marquetry butterfly

This parlour settee is given an Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau feel by the simply turned legs and the marquetry butterfly in the centre of the top rail. Sturdily made, it has bone inlay along the front rail, top rail and curvaceous arms. The three back and two side splats are shaped and pierced.

It is in lovely condition, aging gracefully, and newly reupholstered in Linwood fabric.
