    An attractive hand painted and ormolu mounted continental,decorative porcelain urn, which measures 12ins ( 39cms) from top to bottom.

     
    It is fashioned in a roccoco style with a scrolled and ornate, four footed base section that houses a small hand painted porcelain plaque of a house in a rural setting. The urn itself is deep red in colour and has a reserve at the front with a hand painted picture of a musician courting a seated lady, within a gilt surround. It is flanked by two curling handles and topped with an elaborate ormolu finished top and finial. being a decorative piece the lid is attached and doesn't come off.
     
    It is in good condition with virtually no signs of wear to the gilt work and the porcelain is all in good condition with no wear, cracks, stains or restortation.
     
    An impressive and attractive late 19th century piece of decorative mounted porcelain that would grace any mantle piece, shelf or cabinet!
