    An elegant, cane seated, Edwardian, Bergere armchair with William Morris design cushions. It is an attractive chair with a caned back and seat and double caned sides. It measures 39ins (100cms) tall at the back and is a low seated chair with relief carved decoration to the top rail and the front of the arms and legs, supported on short legs with castors.

     
    it has two feather stuffed cushions with it that are both in used, but reasonable condition with much use left in them. They have a white ground with a mainly green foliate design and are from a William Morris designed printed fabric.
     
    The chair is in generally good condition, with little wear in the joints and working castors. The caning at the back and the seat have been replaced in the not too distant past and are good and sound.
     
    The caning at the side is original and there is a hole in the right hanmd side and a smaller one on the left hand side. Nothing too drastic and not too noticeable, and not detracting from the elegant appeal of this delightful chair, that would look good in any room.
