An unusual and impressive Victorian oil lamp in working condition. It measures 23ins(58cms) high, to the top of the glas chimney, and it is fashioned with a heavy, circular, white marble base with a supporting column that houses the chalice shaped reservoir.
The filler cap is on the top of the reservoir and it has a twin Eltex burner, with wicks, and a clear glass chimney.
It is good condition overall and the only flaws are a myriad of scratches and scars form a lifetime's use, a small surface crack in the marble, ( not moving and not deep) and a slight incline. Also, although its an advantage, the Eltex burner is a new replacement one, not the original, but at least you knoe it will work!
An interesting and attractive oil lamp trhat would grace any setting it was in.
