This is an antique dining hall canteen on stand. An English, oak and silver plated 12 person cutlery set, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

• A beguiling raised canteen with a comprehensive array of cutlery, encased in elegance
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
• Superb oak stocks present a treat of fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Offering 154 pieces in total, for a near complete set — a few auxiliary pieces absent
• Quality silver plate and celluloid handles, with Mappin & Webb maker's marks throughout
  
  
• Arranged as a two drawer canteen upon a raised stand, offering an extra storage drawer
• Field panel lid graced with an unmarked brass name plate, ideal for personalisation
• Lid opens to show the initial layer of cutlery, set within shaped compartments
• Large spoons and carving pieces present within the lid interior, with dining spoons, knives and forks below
  
  
• A further pair of drawers host multiple forms of cutlery, with recessed brass pulls for access
