antique 19th century pair of damascus inlaid hall chairs

Circa 1870, exhibition quality matched pair of Damascus hall chairs. The shaped solid backs, profusely decorated with line inlay and Islamic style inlaid ivory decorations. The rectangular seats with chamfered corners are also profusely inlaid with boxwood and ivory over a tapering base. All supported on splayed inlaid legs in front and rear.
