This is an antique master cabinet maker's chest. An English, heavy tool trunk with mahogany and walnut interior, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Wonderful master craftsman's tool chest with an exquisite fitted interior
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
• Dark painted pine exterior a perfect foil to the striking caramel hues within
• Fascia dressed with a diamond-shaped inlaid lock — key absent

• Opening the lid reveals a superb interior, with removable banks of drawers
• Inlaid flame mahogany, walnut and oak in contrasting hues creates an appealing decorative finish
• Fifteen drawers across two banks, each accentuated with small ebonised pulls in cupped recesses
• Lower section hosts a lidded container with small leather pull tab
