antique cast bronze of shiva nataraja, lord of the dance.

The great Hindu god Shiva has many guises in art But perhaps the most familiar is as a dancing figure within a circle. It is an image seen in museums and temples across the world. I bought the figure at an house clearance auction. 19th century possibly much early, condition is untouched its hard to tell if its bronze or brass its so dirty. Height 13cm width 10cm.
