This is an antique cleric's swing-out case. A Chinese, hardwood travelling box, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

• Charmingly provincial box, presented in original time-worn condition
• Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
• Hardwood stocks present medium caramel hues
• Brass strapping to the corners — some minor loss

• Carved field panels adorn the case front with traditional Dogs of Fo
• Lid opens aiding access to a pair of swing out compartments
• Arrangement of three drawers to the centre beneath a galleried tray
• Drawers dressed with small, pierced brass drop handles
