This is an antique domed top caddy. An English, burr walnut and brass keepsake box or dressing table case, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

• Of captivating form and superb decorative appeal
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Delightful figuring to the quality burr walnut stocks
• Warm caramel hues accentuated with bright brass tones

• Gracefully domed, the lid decorated with pierced brass mounts
• Front fascia dressed with a pierced lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
• Trefoil shaped shield mounts adorn the corners of the fascia
• Interior lined with cobalt silk cotton to lid, with a foliate pattern internal finish
