This is an antique floral encrusted ewer. An Italian, ceramic decorative pouring jug, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
- Striking Italian ewer with prominent foliate decorations
- Displays a desirable aged patina and good original order
- Tall ceramic form enthusiastically decorated throughout
- Displays a light cream wash, accentuating the relief finish
- Colourful flowerheads sit prominently from the bulbous body
- Distinctive bird head spout with excellent feather detail, flowing into the base
- Serpentine tall handle with double reverse scroll form
- Maker's stamp to base for Capodimonte
