This is an antique gentleman's gout stool. An English, solid rosewood and leather occasional foot rest, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

• Fine country house example, with deep stocks and appealing form
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
• Select stocks present fine grain interest and deep russet hues
• Lightly time worn leather adorns the cushion, with press stud trim
• Finished with an inset butler's grasp, for moving across a room
