A fine quality Mahogany side table by Gillows, in very good condition and colour. Standing on shell carved cabriole legs with paw feet, gallery back, shaped aprons to the front and sides, deep Mahogany-lined drawer with brass swan neck handles, stamped Gillows. Of very useful size and proportion -- can be placed as a side, dressing or hallway table, or perhaps a decorative writing or chamber desk; and of course perfect for displaying and storing silverware.

Gillows of Lancaster & London was of course one of the most prestigious furniture makers in England throughout the 18th and 19th century, working with only the finest quality timbers and first-class craftsmen. Gillows furniture pieces can now be seen in museums in London and Leeds, as well as collections in the Gillows Museum in Lancaster and Tatton Park.Needless to say, please make sure you are completely satisfied with all aspects of the item in the description and photographs before bidding or buying, you will be receiving the item exactly as stated and no returns will be offered.
