This is an antique morning room chair. An English, rosewood and embroidered silk cotton side seat, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835.

• Exquisite upholstery over a beautifully crafted frame
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Traditionally stuffed drop-in seat at a comfortable height of 38.5cm (15.25'')

• Striking crest rail with a plume of feathers form issuing broad scrolled mounts
• Distinctive trapezoid carved ears host excellent turned finials
• Padded dome topped back rest framed with a pair of superb barley twist supports
• Lower rail unites the frame with a repeat of the scrolled motif

• Benefits from a professional reupholstering in a fine embroidered textile
• Delightful carnations set within a diamond pattern with pink and golden hues
• Alternating blue and red weave adorns the golden cushion edge trimming
• Standing upon a pair of excellent gadrooned front legs, the distinctive rears in loose cabriole form
