This is an antique morning room elbow chair. A Scottish, carved oak throne seat in Gothic revival taste, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Traditionally stuffed cushion set at a comfortable height of 46.5cm (18.25'')
• Thick, shaped arms sit upon serpentine front supports
• Fascinating lion head masks sit upon each knuckle of the arms
  
  
• Lower apron in sash form with relief decor and scroll detail
• Striking bulb form front legs adorned with grape detail over acanthus gadrooning
• Front legs standing upon a pair of collared circular feet
• Distinctive rear legs in square section, with turned ends
