This is an antique oval bedside cabinet. A French, Amboyna and marble boudoir or bathroom nightstand, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

• Rare and exquisite, a fine example of French craftsmanship
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Superb Amboyna exudes grain interest throughout
• Beautiful colour abounds, with rich caramel hues
  
  
• Pleasingly tactile red marble plinth sits atop the cabinet
• Set amongst the striking, inlaid fascia is a small drawer with brass pull
• Demi-lune door hosts an inlaid foliate medallion, with boxwood borders
  
  
• Door opens to reveal a cool, white ceramic lined cupboard
• Gallery space to the lower, with tapering turned supports
• Standing upon a quartet of tapered feet with brass capped toes

This is an exceptional antique oval bedside cabinet, with a beautifully presented finish of rich stocks and superb inlaid detail. As useful in the bathroom as it is in the boudoir. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
