Exquisitely painted with Classical monochrome ovals alternating with portrait medallions cast in relief, all on a gold leaf ground. Depicting King of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon Alexander the Great. Italian Poet Dante. A French dramatist and master of French comedy Moliere. A Roman senator renowned for his oratorical skill Cicer. Condition: Superb condition for such early items with slight wear to gilding and free of any restorations. Both pieces are unmarked.
