This is an antique storage chest. An English, oak fireside bin or bedside box, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1780. 

• Usefully proportioned chest with versatile covered interior
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
• Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Ideal for use as a fireside fuel store or bedside chest - suitable for all fuel types

• Lid opens upon a pair of iron strap hinges to gain access to the storage space
• Presented with a two drawer faux fascia, dressed with brass drop handles and escutcheons
• Pair of brass carry handles to the side aid ease of carriage
• Standing upon a quartet of bracket feet with a shaped apron
