This is an antique trumpet sewing table. An English, rosewood ladies work table, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.

• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in very good order throughout
• Select stocks present superb grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Octagonal form to the top with exquisite quarter book-matched finish

• Set within the tapering form, the octagonal interior hosts a lidded compartment
• Suite of small outer compartments ideal for cotton reels, and four pin cushions
• Apron adorned with sash carvings and drop finial decorations
• Inset, brass-lined lock in working order — key present

• Acanthus carved collar accentuates the tapered trumpet support
• Trio of extravagant cabriole legs with scrolled detail to knees and toes
• Central drop finial sits between each leg with collared form
• Riding smoothly upon a set of brass castors
