Item is in excellent condition although there is minor visible wear as the maker's mark has been rubbed due to age, handling, and usage.

ITEM 1105 DESCRIPTION
Antique Victorian rectangular-shaped and hinged silver 'castle-top' card case. The front side is stamped with a study of the Burn's Memorial in high relief surmounted by flowers and scroll work pattern. The reverse side is stamped with flowers, foliage, and scroll work pattern surrounding a shaped cartouche with engraved initials. Birmingham made by probably Frederick Matthews although the maker's mark has been rubbed. Circa 1845. ITEM 1105 PROVENANCE
