    The portrait focuses closely on the head and upper shoulders of the subject, creating an intimate and personal feel. The background is kept simple, allowing the viewer's attention to remain on the subject.
     
    Label verso Chapman brothers 241 Kings Road Chelsea. Chapman's brothers were important framers for artists like Holman Hunt,
    John Singer Sargeant, Sir William Orpen.
