Victorian 1880/1890 Root ball handled
bamboo sword stick, with a square section tapering
Solingen stabbing blade, push fit, solid and firm in the cane,
with no breakage around the cane mouth.
An old consolidated firm 2 inch crack to part of the handle, typical of bamboo, but
with no affect to the stick, no blade movement.
A nice discrete feeling piece.

Yamabushi came about through a long time involvement in the martial arts, which brought about an interest in Japanese weaponry and antiques from the Samurai era up to edged weapons of the Japanese in the second world war. I now buy and sell items worldwide, the vast majority of them coming direct from Japan via trusted dealers I have traded with for some years. Stock varies and is constantly changing, though I do have a particular leaning towards hand weapons and tansu, I am always willing to try and source items for customers. I have provided quality pieces to museums, TV and theatre companies worldwide. I try to keep our price range affordable rather than high end arty, but these are often dictated by shipping costs, customs charges, etc. For your assurance I offer a no quibble returns policy should an item not be as expected, for further piece of mind I accept payment by Paypal, along with my preference of payment via bank transfer.
