Circa 1840. A museum sized brass inlaid display table. The large rectangular glazed top with a brass and mahogany bezel, the top is hinged and opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior, with a locking arm to hold the top in the open position. Brass inlay in the style of ‘Andre Boulle’ in the frieze and on the legs. To the bottom of the frieze is a further brass banding, the front legs have cast brass mouldings. The table rests on four square tapering legs with brass inlay on all of the facings, intersected by curvaceous stretchers with an oval inlaid panel in the center, resting on four bun feet with original four brass castors beneath.
