Circa 1900. A brass and silvered club fender. This stylish fender with its tartan covered seats at both ends. The centre which drops down rapidly is held in place by rectangular uprights. Towards the end left and right there is a panel with oval sections tied together with flower heads. The sides are all supported by large rectangular rods. Beneath this the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth which is concave and has double ogee moulding which continues around the front and the sides. The fender has been recently cleaned and upholstered. It is clean and sturdy.
