ITEM DESCRIPTION: Original Mid 20th Century Chinese Carved Camphor Wood Chest, Trunk or Coffer, highly decorated with figures and scenes from China. Overall in excellent condition, minor losses near lock mechanism (see photos). Made in Hong Kong label as well as a card stating that this is an original Chinese Camphorwood Glory Chest. The camphor wood produces a lovely aroma when the lid is opened (this is normal and expected). A compact sized chest, an attractive example.
