    Antique Chaise Lounge

    This chaise lounge is called le surrepos du Docteur Pascaud, France 1925, natural beech, iron, upholstered and covered with a blue pin striped cloth. There is a wooden wheel for adjusting the backrest and seat. Extremely comfortable and would elevate any room in your house.

     
    This mechanical chaise lounge was an inspiration for Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand when they worked on their idea of creating a continuously adjustable chaise lounge, which eventually resulted in their famous "Chaise lounge basculante" made of tubular steel.

    Condition: Some light marks on the wooden base, but very good condition for its years.
