Circa 1890, unusual circular Chinese stand with a variegated marble insert and beaded fore edge on top, a shaped apron beneath this with both solid and open fretwork carving. The apron runs down to almost become quarter brackets at the tops of the legs. The legs are swept from top to bottom and profusely carved on the outside with foliate carving, united by an unusual cross stretcher with 4 quarter brackets which have open carving. Excellent colour and condition.
