This magnificent and substantial 4- leaf dining table C1900 is in fantastic condition.
It is labelled Waring and Gillows by appointment to His Majesty which helps date the table to between 1901 and 1907.
A 13 ft table is a rare thing these days and this example with original leaves of 1" thick solid Cuban mahogany is a real delight, seating 14 chairs.
The top being over 4" wide is a sure sign of quality ( the wider the table the better the quality), however with this table, you need look no further than the gorgeous timber, the carved edge and rounded form and the really solid feel of the whole table to appreciate the fine workmanship.
The table has its original winding mechanism and a good action with virtually no wear. The brass castors concealed in the magnificent cabriole legs are also original.
The table is in fantastic condition, bearing one small patch of wear which could easily be polished out professionally (photo evidence of this can be seen below)
