This very interesting item is a divination text that would be used by a shaman/fortuneteller. It reflects traditional beliefs of many Vietnamese about how the feet of chicken can be used to analyze events.

For example, after Tet (Vietnamese New Year), chicken feet might be hung from the front of the house to ward off evil spirits. If the feet turn black it means a year of bad luck is ahead. Position of the feet also indicators.
This is a most interesting text that gets to the core of traditional Vietnam.
