Circa 1820. Early 19th Century Dutch marquetry inlaid mahogany bookcase on chest. Surmounted by an arched marquetry cornice with centre foliate carving, the glazed door opening to a shelved cabinet with ornate brass escutcheon and side glazing. The shaped-top chest base with intricate foliate marquetry inlay above three short and one deep front drawer with original Rococo brass handles above a shaped inlaid frieze. The canted sides with shaped columns extending down to the feet and the chest sides with profuse urns and flowers marquetry inlay.
