Set of four original hand coloured copper engravings by Abraham Munting, who was a Dutch Botanist and Artist. Studied botany and medicine as young man and travelled extensively. Upon returning to Holland he joined the University of Groningen and stayed for 24 years, becoming a Professor of Botany and Chemistry, where he directed extensive botanical gardens.
