A finely shaped and carved antique serpentine mahogany chest of drawers. This beautiful example of a serpentine commode / chest of drawers has a thumb moulded solid mahogany shaped top with three graduated oak lined drawers each being cockbeaded with escutcheons flanked by ornately carved figures which transform into hoof feet. With a carved apron this superb commode / chest of drawers dating to the 1920's retains its original brass rococo swan neck handles and has a good colour. Having been restored using traditional methods this rare piece of furniture is in showroom condition ready for use.

From achieving success and a good reputation within the industry, he founded a second showroom in the Kings Road Chelsea. This led Alexander, working alongside his father, to start his own business at the age of 20 and to bring his own personal style and attention to quality into the collection we have today.
