Circa 1870, French kingwood cabinet. With gilded brass mounts throughout, and a herringbone veneer top with broad rosewood cross banding finished with a shaped and moulded brass fore edge. The two shaped doors have brass reeding between, interlaid with acanthus leaves, and have rococo escutcheons, cast foliate panels and rosewood banding finishing with a pattern to the base. Inside are 2 adjustable shelves with rosewood facing, all above a shaped apron with gilded brass mounts and on French bracket feet finished with sabots.
