A fine decorative painted and gilt highlighted Louis XVI canapé sofa/settee with a matching armchair. Both are carved with ribbons, swags and acanthus leaf decoration throughout.
The seat backs and arms are upholstered in a light yellow damask gold silk with well-sprung seat pads.
Overall in very good condition with a little light distressing showing over the paintwork as is common with a suite of this age. There is a small stain on the seat pad of the armchair as shown in the photos.
