Circa 1880, good French rosewood and satinwood inlaid bijouterie table. The shaped top has floral marquetry in the form of flowers and shells, and has a stylish brass fore edge. The top is glazed with bevelled edge glass and the bezel has the same pattern in brass as the outside. The 4 sides of the cabinet are also glazed and have the same beading as the top. The whole piece stands on 4 elegant cabriole legs with foliate castings on the knees, finishing on a small curved foot with cast brass sabots. The table is clean and sturdy and has a working lock and key.
