georgian mahogany serpentine card/tea table

A Georgian Mahogany Serpentine Card/Tea table. The card/tea table is of a desirable serpentine shape to the front and which makes it most unusual is that this table also has serpentine sides, all of which have a moulded edge to give it that extra finishing touch. The serpentine card/tea has a central drawer to the front depicting dovetail construction and a brass swan neck handle which is suitable to the period. The overall table stands on four tapered legs, again emphasis is on Georgian design. The card/tea table is a useful piece of furniture, in that the top can easily be folded back over and the table can then be used as a stylish side table. Moreover, in fairness it can be also used as a small dining table if required due to the finish when unfolded being polished rather than the usual baize. As such, the diversity of this card/tea table means it is suitable for either a traditional or contemporary setting. Please refer to the pictures to appreciate the detail of Georgian craftsmanship.
