Circa 1720. A good George I walnut toilet mirror. The rectangular mirror with rounded top, with a carved and gilded gesso slip and the original bevel edge mirror. The mirror frame is held in place by a pair of tapering uprights with reeding on the fore-edge, surmounted by a pair of finials, the frame is locked in position by a pair of cast brass axehead drops. The base with book matched walnut, has three shaped drawers in the frieze, one long and two short, all with their original hardware, the bottom of the drawers are curved, beneath a simple moulding, and a shaped frieze, resting on stylish bracket feet.
