Circa 1900, a stylish and elegant mahogany and gilded toilet mirror in the George II style, the shaped mahogany frame with carved and gilded slip with excellent colour, retaining the original mirror plate, the mirror supported on pair of fluted tapering uprights, surmounted by a pair of brass urn shaped finials with cast brass axe head supports to the side. The base of the uprights and a pair of splayed legs braced by a stylish ribbed cross stretcher. The mirror and gilding have excellent colour and patination.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
