Circa 1790. A good George III mahogany and inlaid two door linen press. The moulded inlaid cornice with stylish frieze, two doors with multiple string inlays including oval panels. Behind the doors the original five trays (can be removed and brass rail put in), beneath the doors is a further moulding. In the base a configuration of two short over two full length drawers, each with similar inlay to the top and cast brass swan neck handles with stylish oval back plates. Beneath the bottom drawer there is further string inlay and the linen press stands on four stout French style bracket feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
